Cal Joubert

Cal Joubert is a native Houstonian, father of 4, and a graduate of Texas Southern University. He served 12 years in the United State Marine Corps as an Officer and Enlisted man. He and his platoon were deployed to Somalia during Operation Restore Hope. He also successfully completed a tour as the Officer Selection Officer recruiter in Tallahassee, Florida. Once he completed service, he worked in corporate America as a Human Resources Manager and North American Diversity Manager for Air Products, United Rentals and a Director of Human Resources for Skylla  Engineering Ltd, a government contracting company. He transitioned from the Director of Human Resources to Business Development Manager where he and his team were responsible for sourcing bid opportunities within the federal and/or state government, along with developing relationships and developing bids/proposals. His team was successful in winning several multi-million-dollar projects. Mr. Joubert transitioned into a partnership and began working with Change Positive LLC on a contract with the Texas Workforce Commission, specifically the Vocational Rehabilitation division to assist their clients in workforce development, jobs skills training with the end result in finding meaningful employment. Throughout his
time with Change Positive, he began working within his community helping young fathers and mentoring young men. This led him to working for the University of Houston’s Healthy Start Program as the Fatherhood Practitioner for the last 3 years. He is also a member of Omega Psi Phi, Inc.
